The State of Perl
In a previous life I used to code Perl (and who knows, one day I may return thence), so it was interesting to read this overview of current modules and tools. The main thrust of the article is an attempt to refute the (widely held) view, that Perl's star is in the descendant at the moment. I'm not sure it addresses those points that well, but it did make we want to check out some of the new libraries that have appeared since I left. In particular, I want to see Moose, a new library for writing OO-Perl with.
